Welcome to the Idaho Rural Partnership

The Idaho Rural Partnership (IRP) joins diverse public and private resources in innovative collaborations to strengthen communities and improve life in rural Idaho.

The IRP Board is made up of 32 individuals who work together to improve economic and social conditions in rural Idaho. Board members are appointed by the Governor and include representatives from federal, state and local agencies, as well as private business. The board is led by co-chairs Celia Gould, director of the Idaho State Department of Agriculture, and Nancy Bergmann of the Idaho National Laboratory.

IRP Spring Leadership Training

The Idaho Rural Partnership will be presenting its spring leadership training serious in March and April. Jana Kemp will be presenting “Moving Out of the Box – Best Possible Decision Making Even in Tough Times.” The training will provide tools for gaining more buy-in and commitment to action, and navigating challenges to reach the best decision even if tough times.
 
Sessions will be held March 30 in Sandpoint; March 31 in Kellogg; April 1 in Grangeville; April 2 in Fruitland; April 6 in Jerome;April 13 in Rexburg; and April 14 in Salmon. Registration is $35 ($45 after March 20) and covers lunch, breaks and hand-out materials. The first 150 registrants will also receive a copy of Jana Kemp’s book “Moving Out of the Box.”

New IRP Executive Director

(January 25, 2008) Shelby Kerns – a Potlatch native with extensive experience in agriculture, trade and economic development – was named executive director of the Idaho Rural Partnership (IRP) on January 2.
